Sweet like chocolate… World Quality Day 2015 branding
Run annually by the Chartered Quality Institute (CQI), World Quality Day promotes awareness of quality around the world and encourages individuals’ and organisations’ growth and prosperity. In 2015, the day centred around the cocoa industry, as the CQI asked quality professionals to talk to colleagues outside their profession by taking on the Chocolate Challenge.
The task was not only to create a brand for the day that would be both recognisable, appealing and reinforce the values of the CQI, but to create a downloadable activity pack and supporting Powerpoint presentation template, adverts, posters, Twitter and web banner images, and email templates.
The results speak for themselves. The pack was downloaded by 1,729 unique users – of which 62% were non-members. A survey completed after provides a snapshot of how the challenge was received:
- 70% said their organisations ran the challenge
- 93% said the challenge helped them engage with people not usually working in quality
- on average each challenge engaged between 20-40 people
- 80% of participants felt the challenge helped them understand more about the role of quality in their organisation
- and 87% said the activity encouraged them to interact more with their quality team / staff.
